Paloma was adopted in March 2026 at the foster to adopt event in Grand Junction, CO. She was part of the Friends of the Mustang program to keep Colorado HMA horses in Colorado and Wild Rose stepped in to help with her training. She’s currently settling into her new home and we’re looking forward to updates on this sweet girl and her new family.

Psyche was adopted in February 2026 into the Schmidt family. Psyche was one of three Canon City mustangs we brought into program in October 2025 after they announced the abrupt closing of the Canon City facility. Psyche is doing great in her new home and her adopter is continuing her training with our amazing head trainer, Cayla Stone. We look forward to seeing more as she finishes her under saddle training and grows her partnership with her adopter.

Shelby was adopted in January 2026 by the Eidmann family and she immediately became a loved family member. Shelby is thriving in her new home and has quickly become a beloved member of the family. She has formed a special bond with a 21-year-old retired rodeo horse, whose happiness and calmness have noticeably grown since her arrival, and the two can often be found relaxing side by side in the pasture. Shelby has embraced her daily routine, happily heading out to graze each morning and now confidently returning to the barn on her own in the evenings. She is also building a wonderful partnership with her adopter through regular lessons, showing patience and willingness as they learn together. Perhaps most heartwarming of all, Shelby’s gentle and steady nature has helped inspire confidence in her adopter’s young daughter, who has begun to enjoy riding again. It’s clear that Shelby is deeply loved, and we are so grateful to see her flourishing in such a caring home.

Zenobia was adopted in December 2025 by the Arends family and was excited to have a little girl of her very own. She has been a welcome addition the family and we look forward to continued updates and watching this partnership grow. She is a very loved member of the family and loves being doted on.

Vegas was adopted in December 2025 by the Heap family. He’s doing well in his new home and settling in well. We’re looking forward to sharing more updates as they build their partnership.

Venus was adopted in November 2025 and is doing great in her new home. This Sand Wash Basin from Colorado has been a Wild Rose favorite and we’re excited to see her future in her new home.

One of our ten youth trainer horses, Phoebe, was adopted in November 2025 by her youth trainer family, the Creaven’s.

One of our ten youth trainer horses, Lyle, now know as Helo, was adopted in October 2025 into the Memering family.

One of our ten youth trainer horses, Pigeon, now known as Oliver, was adopted into the Swanson family in October 2025.

One of our ten youth trainer horses, Little Joe, now known as Castiel, was adopted into the Sweanor family in September 2025.

Twix was adopted in September 2025 to Amy Creaven and family. Amy volunteers at Wild Rose and immediately fell in love with Twix the second he arrived. She immediately began working with him on positive reinforcement/consent care training to help him overcome early human based traumas he experienced. It became apparent quickly that they were meant to be together and the rest, as they say, is history… Stay tuned for more updates on the fun things this team does together.

One of our ten youth trainer horses, Lucy, was adopted in August 2025 by her youth trainer family, the McDonough’s.

One of our ten youth trainer horses, Dipper, was adopted in August 2025 by his youth trainer family, the Godlevsky’s.

One of our ten youth trainer horses, Sherman, was adopted in August 2025 by his youth trainer family, the Crow’s.

One of our ten youth trainer horses, Lueke, was adopted in August 2025 by her youth trainer family, the Stafford’s.

Khonsu was adopted in May 2025 to the Grussendorf family and went to his new home in Laramie, Wyoming. August 2025 his family let us know he’s been participating in rodeos over the summer and even won a ribbon at the fair. Great job Khonsu and thank you Grussendorf’s for giving him a loving home.

Denali was adopted in December 2024 to Laura Wynkoop in Loveland, Colorado.

Warrick was adopted in December 2024 to renowned horse trainer Ken McNabb and will be going to his ranch in Wyoming.

Theo, now named Chance, was adopted in December by Janelle Henderson. He is continuing his training with our head trainer, Cayla Stone, and will soon be headed to his new home right here in Fort Collins, Colorado. Here is Janelle enjoying a nice ride on Chance!

Tyr was adopted by Kate Hanson in December 2024 and is enjoying his new home right here in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Shoshoni was adopted in August 2024 at the youth showcase by her youth trainer family, the Berlin’s. We couldn’t be more excited about this partnership and watching Shoshoni blossom with her new family.

Paris was adopted in August 2024 by Kristin Guenther and Kirk Donaldson. He went to the same barn as his buddy Mocha and is enjoying his new home and family right here in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Athena was adopted in July 2024 by Elizabeth Rabb and is doing well in her new home in Littleton, Colorado. Elizabeth also adopted Java earlier in the year and the two Mustangs are loving their new home.

Mocha was adopted in August 2024 by Nancy Byrnes and is loving his new home. He’s got other Mustang buddies and is enjoying his huge pastures and room to roam right here in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Brego was adopted in May 2024 by Olivia Mendoza. Olivia was his student trainer at the CSU Right Horse Program where she fell in love with him. Brego is now enjoying his new home with his favorite human.

Splash was adopted by Phoebe Dunker in May 2024. Splash is loving life in his new home with his new family.

Tilly was adopted in March 2024 by Mary Wetter. Tilly is thriving in her new home and loves being in her new home in Greeley, Colorado.

Zephyr was adopted in March 2024 by the Swanson family after they had fostered him for a year and a half. Zephyr was the longest Wild Rose resident having come to Wild Rose in 2019. He was adopted as a companion horse and enjoys his time hanging out on pasture with his two buddies, one of whom is another Wild Rose Mustang. He’s enjoying life with room to roam right here in Fort Collins, Colorado..

Java was adopted in February 2024 by Elizabeth Rabb and is doing well in her new home in Littleton, Colorado. Elizabeth also adopted Athena and the two Mustangs are loving their new home.
